Directions to Rome From Atlanta and points south:

I-75 North to Exit 290 (Calhoun/Rome).

Turn Left go 3 miles to traffic light (dead end).

Turn left and turn immediate right onto Hwy 411 South/Hwy 20 West.

Take Rome exit to Hwy 411. Travel 20 miles to Rome.

Hwy 20 becomes Turner-McCall Blvd.

At 5th traffic light, turn left onto Broad St. At 6th traffic light on Broad St., you will see Magretta Hall on your right. Park on Broad Street or turn right onto West 2nd Ave. and first right on West 1st Street, utilize the parking lots and on-street parking behind the hall.

Rome is approximately 45-50 minutes from Town Center Mall in Marietta....just to give you an idea of how long it will take you to get to our town!

From Magretta Hall to Elite Dance Academy: Magretta sits on the corner of Broad St. and 2nd Aveune. Head east on 2nd Avenue. Turn right on Glen Milner/East 1st--Central Plaza will be on your left after you turn. You've gone too far if you get to the Riverbend intersection.

You will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with some of the most talented actors in northwest Georgia and beyond---all of whom want nothing more than your consideration in your next project!

There will also be photo books of some of the most beautiful--and unique-- LOCATIONS that our area has to offer for you to consider.

The Seminar is FREE!

Networking Breakfast is $15 for all Actors & anyone

else interested in attending!

The free seminar will cover the basics of what you need to know to start working in the indie film industry. It will be followed by a Networking Breakfast with industry participants.

NOTE: Atlanta Film Board Members over the age of 18 can attend FREE!!

This is an opportunity for our local talent to bring their Headshots and Resumes...

(or just a good, clear photo and your contact info if you don't have a headshot/resume!)

...and get them into the hands of the filmmakers who will be looking to cast their films in the near future!

Actors who would like to participate are required to RSVP by emailing breakfast@StarsInOurEyes.biz by noon on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006.

This event will be open to the first

50 actors who respond.

If you cannot make the event, we will accept resumes and/or headshots for the resources table at no charge. These headshots can be dropped off between 7:30-8:00 a.m. on the day of the event...or arrangements for mailing can be made no later than one week prior to event. Email for information.

Got a great Location?

If you have a great location that you would like for us to include in our Location Book, please email a photo to Director@StarsInOurEyes.biz. Include a contact name and all phone numbers, a description of the property and any restrictions that we need to know. There is NO COST involved to list your property at this time.

Suggested sites might include: barns, fields, airstrip, old cabins, outhouses, row houses, unusual outbuildings, caves, original homes, river settings, mountain locations, etc. See the locations page at www.StarsInOurEyes.biz for more samples.

Photographers!

If you are a photographer who does headshots, you should also plan to attend this event! Many of the actors coming will be needing professional headshots and/or needing to update their existing headshots. You can attend for the $15 fee and you can hand out/set out your business cards, portfolio samples, etc. (You can also make arrangements to mail your materials by contacting the director. There will be a placement fee of $10.)

FREE AFTERNOON WORKSHOP

with Kelly Tippens of Coastal Talent Kids

1:00-3:00 p.m. at Elite Dance Academy in Central Plaza, Rome.

Kelly will host a workshop for those 18 & under on Audition Techniques.

Participants will be taped doing mock auditions and then everyone will brush up on the "do's and don'ts" of auditioning on camera.

Open to anyone who attends the morning breakfast.
